DESCRIPTION
This page contains notes regarding ploticus' use as an
interactive data display tool under X11.
X11 DISPLAYS
Ploticus
will draw in an X11 window if the -x11 command line option is used.
This is mostly intended for preview during development of data displays.
The -pagesize command line option (or the pagesize attribute
of proc page may be used to control the size of the window, and
the -winloc command line option may be used to control the location
of the upper-left corner of the window. Not supported are the standard X
resources scheme and the standard X command line arguments such as -geometry.
USING VIEWERS SUCH AS GHOSTVIEW OR XV
If you have a Postscript viewer such as GhostView you can automatically invoke
the viewer to display PostScript results using the -viewer command line
option. Likewise, -viewer may be used to automatically invoke an
image viewing tool such as XV.
FUNCTIONS
Some
functions
are available that may be useful for interactive viewing under X11.
