A Walk-through Example
======================

Select the FILE menu, and select the OPEN option.

A window will appear with the current directory listed.
Select the name of the mpeg file you want to load, and select
the OKAY button.  If the file isn't in the current directory,
select the directory (or .. if its in a lower directory) and 
press OKAY, to move to this directory.

The programme will now spend a bit of time parsing the file, to
find out where all the pictures begin.

Press the PLAY button

after a couple of seconds, click anywhere in the mpeg_edit
window, to stop the programme playing.

Press the |<- button

The middle window, which is where you saw the mpeg playing
in, is the current frame.  The leftmost window is the start
window, and the rightmost window is the end window.  The start
window indicates where an effect, or cut, will start from, and
the end window indicates where it will end.

Click on the leftmost window

This has selected the current frame as the start position.

Press the >> button

This has moved forward nine frames

Click on the rightmost window

This has selected the end frame.

Select the EFFECTS menu

Select "Fade from Black"

The programme will then ask you if you are sure that you want
to apply this effect.

Press the YES button

The fade from black effect will go from the start frame, to the
end frame, smoothly fading from black to the picture.

Press the |<- button

Press play.  Wow, a sexy fade in!

Select the FILE menu

Select "Save As"

Type in a filename for the new mpeg 
(DO NOT USE THE SAME NAME AS THE LOADED FILE!!!).

The programme will now write this new mpeg.

Select the EXIT button

That's it!    Have fun.
