After starting Burn.app You will need to open at least one CD compilation window to do some serious work. To do so, simply select 'CD compilation'->'New' from the main menu or the key combination 'Command'-'n'. You will get the following window:

The outline displaying the files and audio CD tracks to be burned separated into data and audio material. A CD can contain both. This bar shows the current size of the resulting image. The coloured marks give a hint about how much data fits on standard CD-R's (74, 80, 90, 100 min). You must decide whether you want to change the burn parameters before the burning starts. Start the burning process.

If you want Burn.app to automatically open a new CD compilation window on start-up, open the preferences panel, and on the 'General' page check the option 'Open new compilation on startup'.
