• Version 0.5 was released on 3/1/2001.

These release notes pertain to Webware at the top level. Each individual component in Webware has its own release notes. See the Component Index for further information.

New Components

General

• Docs: The new Component Index is generated upon installation. [Chuck]
• Docs: An index.html is generated upon installation for each component. [Chuck]

"Internal"

If you develop Webware or plan on submitting patches, please review these.

• Component Improvements:
  • Components now have a Properties.py which advertises the component's name, version, required python version, required op sys (if any), denied op sys (if any), synopsis, required software and integrated software. This information can be used in generating documentation and in deciding how best to load plug-ins.
• Docs: Added new StyleGuidelines.html.
• Created DocSupport/RawToHTML.py to help with a macro-like system in the docs. Not sure if this will last. Consider it an experiement.
• Added bin/ as well as pystats.py and checksrc.py. See bin/_README and check the doc strings in the files for more info.
